Here's a handy list for people to call when you need something done around the house.  

(Check several references, licenses, insurance, etc. before hiring anyone.  Make sure you have a written contract detailing the job to be done, totals costs, how payments are to be made, specific date the work starts and the specific completion date.  Check with your attorney or have your attorney review your contract . before signing . for other necessary contract specifics.  Don't be pressured into signing anything.  If a special isn't good in a few days, so be it . move on to another company.).
